The 10th airbase in Sweden (F10) was set up outside Ängelholm in 1945. It has seen many military aircraft types over the years: J35 Draken, AJS37 Viggen, JAS 39 Gripen, and SK60.
The airbase was active until 2002. Since the early 60s there has been civil, scheduled flights to Stockholm; first through Linjeflyg and later on through SAS and Kullaflyg. There are also some charter destinations.
Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport is the current name and it is owned by PEAB. The annual passenger count is roughly 400,000. In addition to the 10 daily flights to Stockholm there is scheduled traffic to Visby during the summer and to Mora/Sälen during the winter. Charter destinations include Turkey, Sicily and Croatia.
The local area is popular for tourists during summertime, thus there is quite a few private jets. There are also several flight training schools, mainly from Ljungbyhed, Roskilde and local flying clubs.
