ACR Services. New Airspace Users
The aviation industry is evolving with the arrival of new airspace users, including both manned and unmanned aerial systems. While the industry continues to refine sustainable business models for these emerging segments, airports, particularly regional and decentralized ones, are well-positioned to capitalize on these opportunities. These infrastructures, typically free from capacity constraints, can readily integrate commercial entities involved in the distribution of people and goods.
Over the past few years, ACR has developed significant expertise and a robust network to address the operational needs of these new airspace users. Drone operations, in particular, present unique challenges to traditional operational frameworks. Managing a leisure drone operator conducting photography near your airport is quite different from overseeing a commercial drone operator running air taxis or utilizing drone corridors adjacent to your runway. At ACR, we aim to facilitate these operations seamlessly.
Over the past few years, ACR has also jointly developed the UTM platform Dronerequest® together with Swedish tech startup Naviation AB.
Additionally, we can support you in transitioning tasks such as airport runway light inspections, navigation aid checks, PAPI, and fence inspections from manual to drone-based operations. If you're considering integrating a vertiport into your airport, we are here to help!
