ACR co-founds APANSO to strengthen the voice of private ANS Organisations in Europe

ACR Aviation Capacity Resources (ACR), together with Spanish ANSP Skyway, has launched the Association of Private ANS Organisations (APANSO), a new independent, non-profit European industry association representing privately owned and operated organisations across the Air Navigation Services ecosystem.

As a founding member, ACR has contributed to establishing APANSO to provide a dedicated and constructive voice for private organisations involved in the delivery, support and advancement of Air Navigation Services across Europe. The association brings together organisations from across the ANS value chain, including operational service providers, training organisations, meteorological service providers, technology and equipment companies, and engineering and technical service providers.

APANSO promotes the value of choice, transparency, innovation and fair competition and advocates for safe, efficient and performance-driven service delivery within robust regulatory and safety frameworks. Its purpose is not to promote any single provider or ownership model, but to support an environment in which independent offerings can be considered fairly and aviation stakeholders can make informed choices.

For ACR, being a founding member of APANSO builds on the company's experience as an independent Swedish Air Navigation Service Provider. ACR currently delivers terminal Air Traffic Services at 20 Swedish airports, offering ATC, AFIS, meteorological and communication and navigation services, and has also established entities in Switzerland, Germany and the UK.

APANSO is being publicly launched this week at the European Aviation Conference (EAC26) in St Gallen, Switzerland, where the association will engage with the wider European aviation community.
